the kite runner part 2
It's starting to get annoying how Amir is always complaining that his dad doesn't care about him. Clearly his dad cares about him and Hassan. He treats Hassan as if he's his own son by giving him gifts like plastic surgery. Amir just comes off as the jealous type complaining how he isn't given enough attention.

I think that Amir speaks often on his feelings of incompetence towards his father because he wishes he was seen as more important to his father. It will probably have a huge affect on the story from time to time
