The Kite Runner chapter 7

I don't understand how anyone could ever do what they did to Hassan. I just can't wrap my head around why they would even think to do that. Also, Baba finally shows Amir that he cares about him and that makes him feel good. He realizes that he actually cares, he just doesn't show it enough.

    I agree about their relationship but in the long run Amir should have helped Hassan because that one moment will only happen once but he must always live with the guilt of watching his friend struggle and never helping him
