Lord of the flies chapter 1

To me, I feel like the book is too foward and starts with the plot so quickly, there's no real introduction. I felt bad for piggy when he wasn't brave enough to volenteer for leader of the group, and I feel like the whole group just pushes piggy around. This may cause conflict within the book.
