It was a good choice by the author to include the scene of Roland getting unwound because its makes you feel like your the one in the seat getting chopped up. It also gives the reader a better picture of Roland and what his past was like. When Lev hears that Connor is going to be unwound he starts to freak out and it shows how much Lev really cared about him. When Connor first took Lev it was like all he wanted to do was get away but in the end he just wants to save his life even if it means giving his own. I feel like Lev is willing to give his life to whatever he believes in, whether it be unwinding, or saving Connor's life.
