LOTF ch. 2 & 3
I didn't expect the boys to be yelling at each other this early on, but it's understandable given their situation. Their society is definitely declining rapidly. However, I'm finding Jack's and Ralph's relationship to be surprisingly friendly and light-hearted. I thought Jack would be angrier because he is not the leader. I wonder if their relationship will become more strained as we progress.

I agree I didn't think that Jack and Ralph were going to be so friendly to each other. But it may be a front on Jack's part, because it is so early in the story, he may be trying to get everyone to like him and then get rid of Ralph. I don't know know, we will have to see!
